the ART LOCKER art MARKETS

The Art Locker is BACK with another ART MARKET! Come to our (gay) school festival to shop and chat and celebrate love of all kinds!
We will have 30+ vendors selling prints, stickers, ceramics, stationery, apparel, and other goods they created!
Excitingly, we will also have a SPECIAL EVENT run by @fanstage.nyc—make sure to check them out on Instagram to learn more about the Yaoi/Yuri Presidential Elections!
First 100 RSVPs to show up will get a free sticker :3 RSVP-ing also enters you into a raffle event that occurs at 6:30pm! We are planning other goodies as well, so stay tuned~
RSVP-ing does not guarantee you entry; it mainly helps us gauge head count.
Our events will always be free to attend for the foreseeable future, but any financial assistance gives us more flexibility to invest in improving the market experience. If you would like to support the market monetarily, you can send us some money via https://vgen.co/theartlocker or the PWYW prompt on Partiful!
Thank you for all your support so far! Please do continue to help spread the word about our event, the more the merrier! See you soon <3

Frequently Asked Questions
What are THE ART LOCKER Art Markets?
Founded by Mielzy, THE ART LOCKER Art Markets are our way of organizing independent artists to create events that are fun for attendees and vendors alike. After all, another market in NYC is always a welcome thing!
When is your next market?
Our markets happen every 2-3 months. We will announce each market in our Discord server and our Instagram. Keep up with us there!
How do I apply to be a vendor?
When vendor applications are available, we will post them in our Discord server and our Instagram. They will be open for a specified time interval. To ensure equity in the selection process, we will not accept late applications.
Who can vend at THE ART LOCKER Markets?
We welcome makers of all kinds! We prioritize small artists and handmade businesses.
Who can't vend?
We do not allow reselling, vintage clothing, proxy selling, drop-shipping, genAI, stolen work, or anything else we deem inappropriate.
How much does it cost to vend at THE ART LOCKER Markets?
Vendor fee will vary based on the cost of the market. We aim to stay in the $75-$150 range per full 6ft table, or around $40-$75 per 3ft half-table.
Are the markets free to attend?
Yes! We do not charge for entry. We also will not cap total attendee count, as we want to ensure as many people can enter the market as possible. This does mean that although we will not be capping total event attendance, we may need to implement crowd control measures that will result in a wait before attendees can entry. We appreciate your patience on this front, and will try our best to give everyone a heads up on the wait situation if there is one.
Do I have to RSVP to attend?
While RSVP-ing is not required for attendees, RSVP-ing helps us gauge headcount. It does not guarantee entry. However, RSVP-ing does enter you into exclusive events, such as raffles or free merch opportunities!
Can I bring my pet to the market?
Due to space restrictions, we unfortunately cannot welcome pets at our markets yet. We will try our best to accommodate service animals, but please do be aware that there may be crowding issues that we cannot anticipate ahead of time that your service animal may need to navigate.
Can I bring my child to the market?
Yes! However, please be mindful that we allow vendors to display artistic nudity in full and censored erotic nudity. If there are any performances at the event (e.g. panels), there may be discussions of 16+ topics, which we will try our best to flag.
Are masks required?
Yes, we are a mask-mandatory event! We will also have masks available at the door should you forget yours. Here is a guide (click me!) for purchasing masks if helpful.
* Please note that people will be allowed to briefly unmask in order to eat or drink.
Is cosplay allowed?
Yes, cosplay is allowed! We just ask that you keep in mind that this event allows children to attend, and that you make sure that your cosplay will not knock over any displays and is mindful of the limited navigable indoor space since this is not a convention!
